| BIOGRAPHY Candy Depew is based in Born in Cleveland, Ohio, as one of nine children, Candy earned her BFA from As an educator, Candy has lectured on and shown her sculptural ceramic work, silkscreen prints, and room installations at universities and galleries in To complement her candycoated initiative and spread her passion for silkscreen printing and decorating, Candy recently established a "studio school" of decorative arts at the Crane Arts Center, Philadelphia.** She continues to candy coat her world, and is helping others to do so, as well. ** The studio school is dedicated to the memory and honors the industrious spirit of her father George Depew, 1927-2007. |

Cable TV broadcast filmed @ Crane Arts!!! highlighting "dark to light" date TBA dark to light* is a project conceived of during residency in NYC at www.iscp-nyc.org and presented at the Crane Arts ICEBOX Projects Space, March 19, 2008. This work, based on the artist’s personal experiences with her father’s recent death, investigates father-daughter relations, their impact on society, how perceptions of the feminine are formed and presented in our culture. This work engages many levels of life development from birth to death in a live installation featuring an inspired solo ballet performance by budding professional ballerina Elle Micheli and a still-life of twenty hand selected intelligent and beautiful women in entwined repose modeling candycoated.org entrepreneurial project panty moneymaker$. *Project
