To further her LOVE for tea, especially green tea, Candy spent Spring/Summer 2019 as a Visiting Artist in Philadelphia developing tea sets exhibition titled Tea Housing at The Clay Studio, Philadelphia September, 2019. This exhibition will feature tea sets (Tea Wears) and tea related collaborations with the Random Tea Room & Brian Giniewski Studio as well as an artist slide talk about making work and visiting masters studio's and factories in CHINA.
A tasteful body of ceramics that started out as a friendly collaboration with chef Tony Aiazzi, of the Workshop Kitchen. Table.Wear highlights the arts of dinner ware, food styling, table presentation, and decorative object display as a sculptural art form.
Candy's signature imagery on porcelain and vitreous china dinnerware was graced with Tony's superb skills designing menus and styling culinary delights at the inception of the oeuvre and has since evolved into elaborate gold lustered wall installations that have since been exhibited at the Philadelphia Museum of Art in CandyCoated Wonderland.
The ceramic pieces pair perfectly with her custom and one of a kind screen printed textiles giving way to extraordinary tea parties and memorable supper gatherings. Selected patterns and designs are offered in the Candy Shop for acquisition.
